Anavar Description

What is Anavar?

Anavar is the trade name for oxandrolone, anavar also called Oxandrin, is a synthetic anabolic steroid derivative of dihydrotestosterone that ispopular among both amateur and professional sportsmen because of its exceptionally low level of androgenicity. The anabolic steroid, which can be synthesized from dehydroepiandrosterone, is medically recommended to treat health complications such as alcoholic hepatitis, Turner syndrome, and HIV induced weight loss and may also be indicated in some cases as an offset to protein catabolism that is a result of administration of corticosteroids in the long run. History of Anavar

Anavar, the synthetic anabolic steroid derivative of dihydrotestosterone, has proved to be a great success to treat patients suffering with osteoporosis. One study found oxandrolone to be superior to testosterone and to Deca (nandrolone) for reducing abdominal fat in men, or at least in obese older men at the specific low doses studied, which were not necessarily equipotent. From this, some have made broad generalizations to bodybuilding. However, this does not necessarily carry over to anabolic steroid cycles at doses commonly used in bodybuilding. In the case of the study in question, I expect the difference in outcomes was dose-related.

Anavar is often stacked with Halotestin, Proviron, Equipoise, Primobolan, Winstrol, and Human growth hormone. Generally used a cutting cycle drug, it may even be used during a bulking cycle. The recommended dose of Anavar is 200-100 mg per day for men and 2.5-20 mg per day for women. It is very important to note that Oxandrolone or Anavar is not indicated to breastfeeding or pregnant women and children or those having a medical history or afflicted with health complications such as high blood pressure, kidney problems, and liver problems, heart disease (such as chest pain, heart attack, heart failure), high blood fats (cholesterol), bone problems (asosteopenia, osteoporosis), and stroke or blood clots.

Anavar Half Life

Anavar has a half-life of only 10 hours, and it’s estimated it’s only actually effective for 5 hours, so multiple dosing is recommended.  25 mgs in the morning and 25 mgs before training is best.

Anavar Detection Time

While there is some ongoing debate about the detection time of anavar, from my research it's about 3 weeks.  Thus, I would plan on a rough 4 week detection time just to be safe.

Side effects of Anavar

Anavar abuse can lead to to side effects, including coughing up blood, sudden dizziness/fainting, pain/swelling/warmth in the groin/calf, shortness of breath, chest/jaw/left arm pain, abdominal pain, light colored stools, dark colored urine, unusual fatigue, nausea, slurred speech, or an increase in the value of liver enzymes, which is very small.
